Jamie Zinser is Vice President of Engineering for DURA Automotive Systems. In this role, Jamie serves as a member of the executive leadership team, that sets the strategic direction for the company.
Jamie is responsible for all aspects of DURA’s global engineering and product development activities across four regions. Her product breadth comprises DURA’s complete portfolio of technologies that include lightweight body and chassis systems, powertrain solutions, mechatronic and electronic systems, HMI’s, driver control systems, and exterior systems.
Paramount to the successful definition of DURA’s next generation portfolio of products, Jamie drives teams to commercialize new innovations across Five Pillars of DURA Technology: Lightweighting, Design Aesthetics, Amalgamated Mechatronics, Advanced Mobility & Active Safety, and HMI & Infotainment Fusion.
Previously, Jamie was Director of Engineering for Global Structural Systems at DURA leading international product engineering for structural systems and lightweight innovation including closures, cross-car beams, and space frame systems.
Jamie joined DURA in 1994, and has led the development and launch of advanced structural and safety products across all continents. She has extensive expertise in aluminum and high strength steel engineering including crash management and marrying of dissimilar materials.
Jamie was recognized as one of the Top 100 Leading Women in the North American Automotive Industry by Crain’s Automotive News. She is often sought after by the media as a featured speaker in automotive industry technical events.
Jamie earned her MSBE from GMI Engineering and Management Institute in Flint, MI (now Kettering University).
